Is there something that you do and everytime you do it you feel at the height of being you? Perhaps doing a task for an elderly neighbor or greeting each check-out clerk expand your heart each time and compel you to do it again, or one of the other myriad ways that can get your ju-ju going. What is that for you? It’s definitely a personal thing as unique as our fingerprint.
Or is there some trait that you are so proud of that it doesn’t even require recognition to be a source of joy? Could it be being kind presents itself so subtly that no one even notices except you, or corralling carts that others neglectfully leave anywhere makes you feel a job well-done despite its smallness of favor.
Why is it so important to feel great about ourselves?
What’s the alternative?
How can you expand the catalog of appealing traits and travails while minimizing those that tear us down? Is it worth it?
