Where are your passions? The old adage, “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life,” is grounded in this concept of working in your passion.
Do you think working in your passion isn’t, indeed, working?
Does the work you do mean you get lost in it so deeply that you don’t count the minutes toward the end?
I’m not sure I ascribe to the idea of work not being work if it’s your passion, but I love the idea of it.
Does the swimmer who is dreaming of Olympic glory get so immersed in the activity that the designated four hour practice slips by without notice? Or the opera singer who works on her clarity of octave keep going after the allotted time? And should she?
What do you think?
Are there activities that sweep you away?
Are they the ones attached to your livelihood?
Would you like them to be?
I look forward to hearing what you think about working your passions.
My thoughts… well, they will post tomorrow on Whyz Life Matters. Hope to see you there.
Have a blessed day!
